The Lönnrot Academy, situated in the beautiful county of Sammatti, trains restaurant chefs as well as travel services providers and advisors. It's my honour and great joy to serve as the chairwoman of the academy's vocational panel.
Catering, travel and consumer services are all growing fields requiring a continuous supply of professionals. On my part, I want to participate in developing official programmes of study in these areas, and inspire both students and teachers to enjoy what they do and to reach higher. Together with director Terttu Louhikoski-Alasuutari and the academy's capable teaching staff, we've made tremendous plans (which are already being realised!) for improving and refining the quality of available programmes. These improvements make Lönnrot Academy the prime place of study for anyone looking to pursue a career in the sector.
