I've been working on television since 1975. First as an MTV host and from there through various entertainment and current affairs programmes (Tasaraha, Usko tai Ala, Tanaan, Dolce Vita, Kotikeittiomestari... I'm sure there were others but can't remember just now) to host Kokkisota, local version of the famous “Ready Steady Cook”. Battle at the studio kitchen finally came to an end after five intensive years of cooking, with viewer rates still lurking around the 700,000 mark. And I never really got tired of the ranting chefs as that was what made the show special! It's just the tabloids that are always struggling to come up with something catchy. But as we all know, the best time to wrap up a party is when everyone's still having a good time. And we never pulled the wool over our viewers' eyes! The dishes were always prepared in 20 minutes right in front of the studio audiences. Amen!   I've had talks about new shows, but I haven't yet found enough interesting offers. Stay tuned...   In 2000, I was given the Venla award for best TV host for appearing on Kokkisota.
