Namaste – welcome to my heart

Namaste is originally a 17th-century fishing lodge called Vana-Tähvena, situated some 400 metres from the old fishing port of Lounarann which is accessible to fairly large boats and from where fishermen still leave to tend their nets in the morning. During the summer, it is ideal for taking a swim, fishing, rowing, or just enjoying the beautiful sea scenery.

Within the ancient stone fences, there is a thatched-roof main house. Under the thick log beams of its sitting room, watching the warm blaze of the fireplace, you feel as if you were miles away from the big bad world. And you are!

A large barn nearly the size of the main house conceals inside its log walls two beautiful bedrooms, a shower and a bathroom. At the other end of the barn, there is a brand new teaching kitchen with spacious dining tables, ovens and open fireplaces. The space is perfect for holding meetings and doing group work.

The plot also has a smaller barn, also made of logs, a beautiful, old stone-structured craftsman’s workshop which now serves as a sauna, as well as a thatched-roof ground cellar which holds not only potatoes and other root vegetables but also a good collection of Italian wines! All of the buildings have been renovated lovingly and tastefully.

Under the shade of the apple trees, there is a 8-person bathing barrel where you can sip champagne and watch the clouds drift by, enjoy the starry sky, full moon or the refreshing summer rain while sitting in warm water. No one has ever wanted to get out of the barrel in less than three hours and entire nights have even been spent in it, as the water is heated and does not get cold.
